It has been a long time, but it was worth the wait. The veteran but not much prolific Grupo Salvaje [Wild Bunch] has played around 6 shows in the last 5 years, although these included top festivals such as Benicassim (twice) and Primavera Club.

Since the release of their second album "Aquí hay dragones" [Here Be Dragons] (Acuarela, 2006), many of the dark areas on that map have been cartographed. Their journey has continued and things have happened. Apocalyptic catharsis in a rehearsal room. Leaving English behind and jumping into the Spanish peripetia. The aeronauts, commanded by Ernesto Gonzalez (ex-leader of the mythical The Pribata Idaho), have got rid of old burdens, have weathered storms and overcome mirages, and the crew has been strengthened (or perhaps may have gone mad).

Now these bastard sons of Johnny Cash and Ambrose Bierce yield "III" (Acuarela, 2013), an album that reminds us of that immortal film in which Scorsese documented the disolution of The Band: Rick Danko playing pool. Scorsese asks him what the game is about. Rick Danko responds: "The aim is to keep your balls on the table and knock everybody else's off...". These guys do that. After listening to their new songs, you are no longer in the mood to listen to anything else.
