The Bitter Springs are the best kept secret in British music of the 90s and 00s. With roots in the London suburb of Teddington, their origins date back to Last Party, their previous band, born in 1985, a name which they recorded two albums under. In 1996 The Bitter Springs officially arise. The story of Simon Rivers -postman by profession- and the others is the story of a minor band with a solid career -seven LPs, countless singles, EPs and collaborations- emotionally comparable with The Go-Betweens and The Triffids in their ability to create bittersweet-pop jewelry with lyrics that are authentic urban poetry. A machine to make songs, always striking up.

Proud of not having repeated the same repertoire twice, which makes each concert into something unique and memorable, The Bitter Springs played at festivals Tanned Tin and Primavera Sound in 2011, and also participated in the cycle Frontera Círculo at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid.

Now these classics present their new album, "Everyone's Cup Of Tea". 26 tracks on 2 different CDs that count with the collaboration of the great Terry Edwards (Tindersticks, Robyn Hitchcock, Spiritualized, Nick Cave ...). They keep sounding like lifelong pop rock, like proletarian folk between Subway Sect and the Pogues, between Syd Barrett and Madness, Pulp and Art Brut in those 180 minutes in which there is drama, humor, tragedy and spark... No doubt this is their best work to date, and for which they will be reminded.
